Danny believes in food for everyone; accessibility is important to him because he knows firsthand how hard eating out can be for food sensitivities. To ensure safety for celiac diners, he has committed to keeping his restaurant completely gluten-free. Charlie's Eatery has found a special role in the community, celebrating good food for all with high quality, hand-picked ingredients and versatile menu options for everyone, plant-based, carnivorous, dairy-free, or gluten-free! Follow him on Instagram to see his featured dishes this week and plan your visit.

Chef Danny was introduced to the Ottawa valley by his older sister, who relocated with her family to Golden Lake in 2019. This included their one of a kind long hair chihuahua, Charlie. After starting a private chef-on-site service in the Ottawa Valley, Chef Danny returned to Newfoundland for the 2024 summer season. During this time Charlie was unfortunately taken from us by car speeding down highway 60. Missing this emotional family event because of work changed Chef Danny's priorities, prompting him to "slow down" to be closer to family and add to the community they call home. This intentionality has helped shape a vision of service and care for others which Chef Danny cultivates with his first restaurant, Charlie's Eatery.
